PADEL GRID FAQ

Entry, divisions, event day, championship points and prizes — everything a first-time entrant asks.

ENTERING

Do I enter alone or with a partner?

You enter alone. Partners rotate through the league stage, so you never need to find someone to sign up with and your result is entirely your own.

How do I enter?

Pick your round from the season calendar and book through the entry link on that round. Places are confirmed instantly.

Can I enter more than one event?

Yes, and most championship contenders do. Every round you enter adds to your season points total.

What happens if an event sells out?

The division is marked SOLD OUT on the site and the entry button becomes a reserve list option (separate men's and women's WhatsApp groups). The next round with spaces is always promoted as the next available entry.

Can I join a reserve list?

Yes — the fastest route is the free WhatsApp community, where drop-outs and new entry windows are announced first.

LEVELS & DIVISIONS

Which division should I enter?

Premier is for advanced players, Division 1 is for improvers and competitive club players, and women's draws run their own Premier and Division 1.

What Playtomic level is each division aimed at?

Premier draws are restricted to roughly 4.0 and above. Division 1 covers roughly 2.5 to 3.9.

What happens if my Playtomic rating changes?

You simply enter the division that matches your current standard. Ratings are confirmed at check-in.

Can organisers move me into another division?

Yes. If a draw would be unbalanced, organisers may place you in the division that keeps matches competitive.

EVENT DAY

How long does an event last?

Round lengths are published per event and typically run in a three to four hour block. Exact start and finish times are shown on each round.

How many matches will I play?

You play a full league stage of short matches with rotating partners, then knockout rounds if you qualify.

What time should I arrive?

Arrive around fifteen minutes before the published start time so check-in and the format briefing are done before first serve.

What equipment do I need?

Bring your own racket and indoor court shoes. Balls are provided.

Are balls provided?

Yes, match balls are supplied for every round.

CHAMPIONSHIP

How do championship points work?

Your finishing position at each round converts into championship points, with podium finishes worth the most. Points accumulate across the season.

Do I have to play every round?

No. A single round still scores points, but playing more rounds gives you more chances to climb the Grid.

How is the champion decided?

On total championship points across the season, with men's and women's championships ranked separately.

What happens if players finish level on points?

Tie-break rules have not yet been published for the site, so we are not stating them here. They will be added as soon as they are confirmed.

Where can I see the standings?

On the championship standings page, updated after every round.

CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS

Can I cancel my entry?

Entries are taken through Playtomic, so cancellations and refunds follow the terms shown on that round's booking page. If you can no longer play, message us so the place can be offered on.

What if an event is cancelled?

If a round cannot go ahead we contact every entrant directly and set out the options. Any question about an existing entry can go to hello@padelgriduk.com.

PRIZES

What can I win?

Each round publishes its own prize breakdown before entries open — cash for the podium, trophies, and usually a Player of the Tournament award. Recent rounds have carried between £250 and £550 in cash prize pots plus vouchers.

How are prizes paid?

Cash prizes are presented on the day alongside the podium presentation.
