Padel Tournaments for Merseyside Players

Padel Grid is a championship season of one-day padel tournaments. You enter on your own, partners rotate through the league stage, and every finish feeds one season-long standings table.

Our rounds currently run in Greater Manchester and Cheshire — under an hour from Liverpool by road or train. Merseyside venues are on the expansion list, and the waitlist decides where we go first.

Why Merseyside players enter

  • Individual entry — no partner required, so travelling in alone is normal
  • Divisions graded by Playtomic level, from 2.5 upwards
  • Closest rounds are 45–60 minutes from Liverpool city centre
  • Merseyside venue partners wanted for the next expansion round

Merseyside rounds — what's happening

There are no Merseyside dates on the season map yet. We add venues where there's a clear group of players asking for one, so the waitlist is what decides the first Merseyside round.

In the meantime, Merseyside entries are welcome at every North West round — same graded divisions, same individual entry, same standings table.

Merseyside partner venues

No Merseyside club hosts a round yet. If you run courts here, this is where the first Merseyside round starts.

Partner with us

If you run a club in Merseyside and want to host a round, or you'd like to sponsor one, we work with venues and brands across the season.

Getting there

  • Liverpool: M62 east to Manchester — roughly 50 minutes to most rounds.
  • Wirral: M53/M56 to Northwich or Cheadle, around 45 minutes.
  • By train: Liverpool Lime Street runs direct to Manchester Piccadilly for city-centre rounds.
  • Rounds start early (usually 7–8am), so most Merseyside players drive over on the morning.

Questions

Merseyside padel tournament FAQs

Are there Padel Grid tournaments in Liverpool or Merseyside yet?

Not yet. Every round this season is in Greater Manchester or Cheshire. Merseyside is on the expansion list and the waitlist decides which venue we approach first.

Can Merseyside players enter the North West rounds?

Yes. Entry is individual and open to anyone, wherever you're based. Liverpool and Wirral players already play our rounds.

How far is the nearest round from Liverpool?

Cheadle and Northwich are around 45–50 minutes by road; Manchester city centre is about an hour by train.

I run a padel club in Merseyside — can you host a round here?

That's exactly how new regions start. Get in touch and we'll talk through court numbers, dates and what a round needs.

Do I need a partner to enter?

No. Partners rotate through the league stage, so you enter as an individual and play with and against different people all day.
